Flexi House is a New Zealand company born in 2020 that challenges the way homes are built in New Zealand.

Their showhome in Cromwell is the first of hopefully many Flexi houses throughout the country.
For Flexi House, whatever product they picked for the flooring of this house needed to be versatile: suitable for bedrooms, bathrooms, and living spaces alike. It needed to be hard-wearing, easy and fast to install, good for the environment, and on top of all that, it had to look good too!

The durability, warmth, and stunning aesthetic of Wise Wood makes it the perfect solution – warm, and comfortable underfoot as well as waterproof and sound absorbing, (and did we mention it's stunning?) This flooring is an all-rounder for every room in the house! Flexi House seems to agree, with our Wise Wood in Contempo Loft laid throughout the entire build, contrasting beautifully against the birch plywood wall linings with a 5mm shadow gap separating it from the wall in a stylish and considered architectural finish.

We got in touch with Andre and Ricky to learn all about this exciting journey with cork. Here’s what they had to say:
“The first Flexi House was a chance for us to push the boundaries of offsite construction by implementing our sustainable and scalable panelised system. To do this, we needed to use sustainable and renewable materials that were also fit for purpose.
